"What It Was" available on Kindle now

 Hi friends,

I hope everyone is somewhat well during these uncertain times. 2020 has been a rough year for many of us, we are feeling a lot of emotions. This world is in turmoil, I see a lot of darkness. Personally, it has been very difficult for me on many different levels. 

The only good thing has been the publishing of three of my novels for Kindle, "Will Love Prevail", "New Beginnings" and now "What It Was". It has kept me from falling in the hole completely. 

For those of you who have liked my stories here, please check out my publications for Kindle. As you know I'm not native in English, but with every publication, I am learning a lot about writing and editing.

"New Beginnings" for Kindle

Hi Fiction Blog readers,

How have you been during these last months? I hope everyone is doing well under the  circumstances.  Times are not easy right now.  

So the Fiction Blog space on Blogger is different now and I am still trying to figure it out. I hope this message displays right.

I kind of miss coming here to post weekly, but I am also busy working on self publishing my stories. I am already working on the next one. 

If you bought "Will Love Prevail" I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you enjoyed it. I know it wasn't perfect, but it was my first try at publishing. People have been buying it and reading it, so this makes me happy. In case you missed it, here is the link.

"This is the story of Shay and Jordan, two very different people who meet by coincidence. Jordan catches Shay's attention because he is in a wheelchair and she really wants to meet him and get to know him. Jordan lives in a very different world than Shay and seemingly there is no overlapping of their two very different lifestyles.
The wheelchair is the link though and Jordan invades Shay's thoughts and also her heart with full force. As they near each other it becomes obvious that Shay needs a lot more of Jordan and she does anything to get to know him.
They find each other again under difficult circumstances and from then on nothing will be easy. Jordan comes with a whole load of heavy baggage. Shay is confronted with how much she can endure with Jordan in her life. Love and hope is what Shay holds on to and Jordan realizes Shay may be his last straw but also a light in a life full of pain and suffering."

Caoimhe's Hands - Chapter 1

Foreword:
This is kind of an experiment for me, writing about old times and places. I did some research and since I'm always fascinated with the "olden" times, here is a little something different. I have a few chapters written out on this story in the making...and I want to explain just a few things in translation. I also was not sure if I should use old forms of spelling such as "Thee", "Me", "Thy" but thought that would possibly be too difficult to pull off, so keeping it somewhat modern.

Maighdan na Haille - Maiden of the cliffs
Caoimhe - spelled "Kee-va"
Siobhan - spelled "Shiv-awn"

This story is about a healer named Caoimhe in ancient Ireland, (11-12th century) and how she meets Aidan who has become very ill after a fall from a roof...I won't give away more, but maybe you can imagine...
Let me know if this stirs your curiosity for more of Caoimhe and Aidan.

Chapter 1

Wild waves from the Atlantic were crashing against the cliffs. Strong winds blowing in from the ocean were howling around the cottage on the hill. It was the beginning of spring but with all its might, winter was still battling spring with strong gusts and cold temperatures.

The meadows were only slowly turning green. The dead brown grass longed to be laid to rest as spring flowers were waiting right underneath the grounds surface, anticipating to show their buds and eventually their beautiful faces.

The land was covered in thick fog, carrying in from the ocean. Spring seemed still in a distant future, never to return but nature was in charge and she would eventually permit spring to come back.
It was only March after all. Evening was about to push itself over the land. 

Caoimhe had the fire going in the cottage and was just adding another piece of dry wood. She then took the spoon and bowl to the water pail in the corner and rinsed off the residue of the broth she had drank for her evening meal. A few crumbs of bread were scattered over the table and she picked them up with her finger tips and put them into her mouth. She was going to have to bake bread soon as her supply had been diminishing over the past few days.

I'm Dani and this is my fifth story posted here on the Blog. I am an amateur and I enjoy writing for fun and pleasure. I like to share my stories with people who enjoy them and it means a lot to me if people like the stories.

"Will Love Prevail" is about Mark, an Army Veteran who was injured in Afghanistan, sustaining a Spinal Cord Injury, leaving him paraplegic. His life is somewhat slow and bleak until his thirtieth birthday when he meets a woman his friends had "ordered" for him to give him some fun on his birthday.
Chiara is a prostitute and is trying to give Mark pleasure on his birthday. Things don't work for him anymore like they do for healthy men and he turns Chiara down. Chiara gives him the money his friends paid for her, back. Mark witnesses how she gets slapped by her pimp for not having any money and he is then determined to bring Chiara the money that she should have gotten for the "job".
He goes to look for her out on the streets and it takes a while until he finds her. And when he does find her, things get difficult, complicated, and also dangerous. But the feelings they harbor for each other can't be denied and throughout trauma and danger, they do everything they can to let their love prevail.

New Beginnings - Table Of Contents

Hello my dear Blog Readers,

I missed you and I missed being here. Well, I'm back with another story. I'm actually kind of nervous posting this one because it is somewhat different than what I have been writing. This story was the first story ever I wrote about a devotee and a disabled man. It has been about 8 years since I wrote this. So a bunch of sheets of paper with a handwritten story in a thick binder had been lying around for the past couple of years.

When I first reviewed this story again last year I could only shake my head at what I had written back then. Since 8 years ago I have definitely grown in my writing and my knowledge so I knew right away that the story needed lots of editing and rewriting. It was VERY fictional at first. Anyways, it is still a work of fiction but I think I reworked the whole thing to where I can now dare to post it.

One very different thing for me was that I had written this story originally in first person and I thought a lot about rewriting all of it in third person because that is usually my preferred POV when writing and reading. But as I read, typed, and edited the story I thought I would just leave it in first person and it was not always easy. Definitely a different ball game and I sincerely hope I did an okay job.

I am an amateur writer, I enjoy writing, English is not my native language and this is just another one of my works. You will probably wonder with some elements of the story this time and you will probably also see some similarities to my previous stories on here if you have read them. I invite you to just enjoy the story as it is. The location is also somewhat different but I have lived there and actually have relatives there. I welcome all your feedback any time because it lets me know that it is something good that I am doing here.

This story is about love, pain, and passion. Meet Anna and Shane and follow as their unconventional love story unfolds against all odds. I hope you will enjoy the story and I will embrace all your comments with joy in my heart. I give you New Beginnings.

For The Love Of Not Walking - Table of Contents

Kieran is injured in combat in Afghanistan and comes back home a T-4 complete paraplegic. After rehab he is dealing with adjusting to life and after two suicide attempts he now lives with his sister and her family. There are not only the physical wounds but also the psychological wounds and he is trying to deal with all of it. When he meets Erin, a divorced mother of two girls, Kieran hopes to maybe get to know Erin some more and get a good thing out of it. Just about the same time, mysterious ordeals are starting to happen to him in the form of severe spasms night after night and Kieran seemingly gaining some sensation back in his body. He has no explanation for this and it is very difficult for Kieran to deal with this. When an old man appears to him who may have something to do with the nightly ordeals Kieran starts doubting his sanity. He wants to tell someone but is afraid people will think he is crazy.

Her interest for him is real and deep but Ariana is making a living in a way not suitable when wanting a relationship and even when they realize their feelings for each other things are not going to be easy as they hit some obstacles in their life together. In this story you will find love, romance, and trust and along with it lots of drama. Jason and Ariana find out they have dreams of a different and better life in common."
